New Jersey Scholarships

New Jersey residents who are undergraduate juniors or seniors, or graduate students, with at least 15 completed undergraduate credits and a 3.3 or higher GPA may apply for Land Conservancy of New Jersey scholarships while pursuing environmental science, conservation, natural resource management, or related fields at an accredited college or university. The conservancy awards ten scholarships of $10,000 each, paid directly to the recipient's institution. Submit a resume, a 500-word essay, an official transcript, and two letters of recommendation by the April 1 deadline. For decades the Land Conservancy has supported New Jersey students preparing for careers protecting natural resources, with a selection process committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

High school seniors in Royal Business Bank service territories (specific counties in California, Hawaii, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, and Nevada) with at least a 3.0 unweighted GPA who plan to attend college full time in the fall may apply. Five scholarships of $1,000 each are offered through the Asian Pacific Community Fund. Submit the common APCF application, recommender form, and transcript by April 20. Selected recipients must provide a college acceptance letter and income verification.

New Jersey high school students who rank in the top 5.0% of their junior class with at least a 3.0 GPA and reside in a designated urban community may receive the Governor's Urban Scholarship through HESAA. There is no separate application. The $1,000 annual award is renewable for up to eight semesters at a four-year college. Eligibility is determined from high school class-rank reporting. Students must file the FAFSA or New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid Application by state deadlines, enroll full time at an approved New Jersey institution, and demonstrate financial need.

Students who live in or attend school in Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, or Salem counties in southern New Jersey may apply if they will pursue accredited post-secondary study related to real estate or the construction industry. Part-time enrollment qualifies. Eligible fields include HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, carpentry, construction management, surveying, and related trades or college programs. Award amounts vary. The Builders League of South Jersey Scholarship Foundation supports the next generation of construction and real estate professionals in the region.

U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are high school seniors or college freshmen or sophomores under age 20 and residing in eligible states or the District of Columbia may apply. Applicants need a minimum 3.0 GPA (high school seniors) or 2.75 GPA (college students), plus demonstrated academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, and financial need. Award amounts vary based on need and may renew for up to four academic years. Complete the application with details on honors, leadership, community service, financial need, and future goals. Funds must be used at an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Student-athletes in intercollegiate sports and exclusively online students are ineligible. The Jimmy Rane Foundation has awarded hundreds of scholarships to help deserving students pursue college educations.
