About this scholarship
The Evelyn S. Field Scholarship at Raritan Valley Community College honors a distinguished educator, women's and civil rights activist, and founding member of the RVCC Board of Trustees. It supports Black or African American matriculating high school graduates entering RVCC as first-year students who earned a high school GPA of 3.0 or greater, with preference for Somerset or Hunterdon County residents. Each award is two thousand dollars. Eligible students complete the RVCC Foundation AwardSpring application during open windows. Recipients must be accepted RVCC students in an eligible degree program, enrolled in at least six credits, and have completed the FAFSA when eligible to apply.
