New first-year and continuing full-time students at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, are considered for merit-based academic scholarships based on academic achievement. Spouses and dependent children of Georgia public safety officers or public school employees who were permanently disabled or killed in the line of duty may qualify. School employees must have been victims of on-campus violence. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible permanent residents and Georgia legal residents for at least 12 months. Grants cover the cost of attendance minus other financial aid, up to $18,000 per award year, with a lifetime maximum of $72,000. Recipients must enroll full-time at an eligible Georgia college, university, or technical college. Apply each academic year through GAfutures. The award provides $14,000 per year for up to eight semesters of full-time enrollment. Out-of-state varsity esports recruits at Ball State University may receive a scholarship renewable for up to four years. Eligible applicants must not reside in Indiana, be admitted full time to an undergraduate program, have competitive experience in varsity-level esports titles, complete at least three tryout practices with a current team, and have no recent competitive bans or fines. The award is $12,500. Students in the program also study esports history, video production, streaming, and live event broadcasting.
