No Essay Scholarships

Honorably discharged post-9/11 American and Australian veterans undertaking or planning full-time undergraduate or graduate study at an accredited institution may apply for cross-Pacific study in either the USA-to-Australia or Australia-to-USA direction, in any disciplinary field. The Veterans Fund provides up to $40,000 for tuition, travel, and other educational expenses. Funding may be combined with other veteran support programs such as the GI Bill. Submit a completed application with academic transcripts, a resume, budget, passport copy, university acceptance letter, a short introductory video, and three referee contacts for letters of recommendation.

New first-year and continuing full-time students at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, are considered for merit-based academic scholarships based on academic achievement. Full-time graduate or doctoral students in accredited programs who can complete medical and security clearance may apply for the CIA Stokes Graduate Scholarship Program. Awards provide up to $25,000 per academic year toward tuition, mandatory fees, and books, plus paid summer work tours in the Washington, D.C. area and a post-graduation service obligation. Participants complete at least one 12-week tour before graduating. Submit an expression of interest when application windows are announced on cia.gov.

Students who apply for admission to Hanover College are automatically reviewed for renewable academic merit scholarships, including the Trustee Scholarship. Scholarship decisions use the applicant’s weighted GPA from the high school transcript at the time of application. For the Trustee Scholarship, applicants must have a GPA between 3.0 and 3.24. Test scores may be considered in admission review but do not affect merit scholarship consideration; test-optional applicants are reviewed with particular focus on curriculum strength. First-year students admitted to Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio are considered for merit academic scholarships based on a holistic review of high school or college performance, involvement, essay, recommendations, and test scores. Annual awards go up to $20,000 per year across tiers including Presidential, Dean's, Faculty, Academic Award, and Prince Promise levels. Scholarships are renewable while maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress. No separate application is required beyond the admission application. The Office of Financial Aid awards scholarships after acceptance.

Transfer students admitted to Heidelberg University who have attempted at least 15 semester hours or 23 quarter hours with a minimum 2.50 GPA may receive merit transfer scholarships after acceptance. Annual awards go up to $20,000 per year across Presidential, Dean's, Faculty, and Academic Award tiers. Phi Theta Kappa members meeting credit-hour requirements may receive an additional $1,000 scholarship. Full-time enrollment on the Tiffin campus is required. File the FAFSA using school code 003048.

Spouses and dependent children of Georgia public safety officers or public school employees who were permanently disabled or killed in the line of duty may qualify. School employees must have been victims of on-campus violence. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible permanent residents and Georgia legal residents for at least 12 months. Grants cover the cost of attendance minus other financial aid, up to $18,000 per award year, with a lifetime maximum of $72,000. Recipients must enroll full-time at an eligible Georgia college, university, or technical college. Apply each academic year through GAfutures. Awards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis as funds are available.

Maryland residents under age 26 with significant financial need may qualify for the Howard P. Rawlings Guaranteed Access (GA) Grant for full-time undergraduate study at eligible Maryland institutions. You must begin college within six years of high school graduation or earning a GED. The maximum award is $18,000 per year based on calculated need. Awards help cover tuition and educational expenses at eligible two- or four-year Maryland colleges and universities. File the FAFSA or MHEC One-App by March 1 and submit any required supplemental documentation by August 1.
