DACA Scholarships

Undocumented first-generation immigrant students, including DACA and TPS holders, who came to the U.S. before age 16 and before November 1, 2020, and are eligible for in-state tuition at a National Partner College may apply. Applicants need significant unmet financial need, a high school GPA of 2.5 or higher, and demonstrated community commitment. TheDream.US National Scholarship provides up to $33,000 toward a bachelor's degree. Some scholars may also receive up to $6,000 for books, supplies, and transportation. The award is renewable annually through degree completion. Apply through TheDream.US and highlight your community service, resilience, and academic aspirations.

U.S. citizens, permanent residents, DACA recipients, or refugees/asylees enrolled full-time in accredited U.S. graduate programs whose careers focus on environmental improvement and social equity may apply for the Switzer Environmental Fellowship. The one-year fellowship includes a $17,000 unrestricted cash award, leadership retreats, and access to the Switzer Network. Required materials include a 2 to 3 page essay, two recommendations, a resume, graduate transcripts, and short-answer questions.

U.S. residents who are high school seniors, graduates, GED recipients, or current undergraduates with at least a 2.5 GPA pursuing education, counseling, social work, psychology, or nursing at an accredited college or vocational school may apply. Education, counseling, social work, and psychology applicants must commit to working in K-12 systems. Renewable awards of up to $5,000 per year for two-year or vocational programs, or up to $10,000 per year for four-year programs, may continue for up to four additional years. Up to 100 recipients may be selected. Submit academic records and three essays on educational goals, personal challenges, and plans for impact. Financial need is considered. DACA recipients are eligible.

Renewable awards up to $10,000 per year for current college undergraduates (not high school seniors) pursuing a first associate's or bachelor's degree who completed at least one year of full-time study, hold 3.0+ GPA, and demonstrate financial need. Open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and DACA recipients. Emphasis on overcoming barriers; STEM and general tracks available. Renewable up to three additional years.

For international and DACA students accepted or enrolled full time at a U.S. or Canadian school MPOWER supports. U.S. citizens studying in the U.S. and Canadian citizens studying in Canada are ineligible. Three annual prizes: an $8,000 grand prize, a $2,000 first runner-up, and a $1,000 second runner-up. Complete the online application and essay. Selection is based on essay quality, field-career alignment, and changemaker potential. Visa must be stamped by the December 31, 2026 deadline. You do not need to be an MPOWER borrower to apply.

Sikh students who are U.S. citizens or have legal status to live or attend school in the U.S. may apply for 5Rivers Foundation college scholarships. You need a minimum 2.5 GPA, total annual family income of $75,000 or less, and enrollment or planned enrollment in an accredited U.S. undergraduate or graduate program. Grants range up to $5,000 per recipient. Awards are not renewable, though prior recipients may reapply. Apply through the FoundationSource portal when applications are open. Selection weighs financial need, academic achievement, leadership, character, and community involvement.

The Adelante Scholarship supports DACA recipients and undocumented students in Arizona who are eligible for in-state tuition under Proposition 308. Applicants must have attended an Arizona high school (or equivalent) for at least two years, have graduated from an Arizona high school or earned a GED, and be enrolled full time (minimum 12 credit hours) at an Arizona community college or university for the fall semester. High school seniors and current college students may both apply. Recipients receive up to $5,000 per academic year in a bachelor's program or up to $2,500 in an associate program, renewable for up to one year, plus access to Aliento's student programming, peer networking, and coaching. The application requires Federal Student Aid Estimator results, an unofficial transcript, fall enrollment verification, and two essays. The 2026 application ran January 15 through March 22, 2026.

The Dream Project Scholarship supports immigrant students in Virginia whose immigration status creates barriers to higher education, including students who are undocumented or have DACA, TPS, or a pending asylum application. It awards $4,500 annually, renewable for up to five years, through college graduation. Applicants must have graduated or be graduating from a Virginia high school, identify as an immigrant whose immigration status creates a barrier, plan to enroll full time in an accredited two- or four-year university in the United States, and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA. Renewing scholars must keep a 2.5 GPA, make timely progress toward graduation, and attend at least two Dream Project events. Applications are submitted through the program's online portal with recommender letters, followed by online interviews. The 2026 deadline was February 9, 2026; applications reopen in January.

U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients who are African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American/American Indian may apply for The LAGRANT Foundation Graduate Scholarship. Applicants must be full-time graduate students at a four-year accredited U.S. institution, carrying at least 9 units per semester, with a 3.2 GPA and a major emphasizing advertising, marketing, or public relations. At least one year of study must remain, and Ph.D. students are eligible. Twenty recipients each receive $3,750. Winners must attend foundation scholarship activities, including career development workshops and networking events with industry professionals. Submit the online PDF application by the published deadline.

LewerMark's Make Your Mark Scholarship awards $3,000 each to seven full-time international students studying in the United States. Applicants create an original message to their future selves reflecting on how their international education has shaped and challenged them, what they hope to accomplish, where they plan to make an impact, and what they want their future selves to remember. Eligible students must attend a SEVIS-approved U.S. institution full time and continue full-time enrollment in Winter 2027.
