DACA Scholarships

U.S. residents who are high school seniors, graduates, GED recipients, or current undergraduates with at least a 2.5 GPA pursuing education, counseling, social work, psychology, or nursing at an accredited college or vocational school may apply. Education, counseling, social work, and psychology applicants must commit to working in K-12 systems. Renewable awards of up to $5,000 per year for two-year or vocational programs, or up to $10,000 per year for four-year programs, may continue for up to four additional years. Up to 100 recipients may be selected. Submit academic records and three essays on educational goals, personal challenges, and plans for impact. Financial need is considered. DACA recipients are eligible.

Sikh students who are U.S. citizens or have legal status to live or attend school in the U.S. may apply for 5Rivers Foundation college scholarships. You need a minimum 2.5 GPA, total annual family income of $75,000 or less, and enrollment or planned enrollment in an accredited U.S. undergraduate or graduate program. Grants range up to $5,000 per recipient. Awards are not renewable, though prior recipients may reapply. Apply through the FoundationSource portal when applications are open. Selection weighs financial need, academic achievement, leadership, character, and community involvement.

U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients who are African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American/American Indian may apply for The LAGRANT Foundation Graduate Scholarship. Applicants must be full-time graduate students at a four-year accredited U.S. institution, carrying at least 9 units per semester, with a 3.2 GPA and a major emphasizing advertising, marketing, or public relations. At least one year of study must remain, and Ph.D. students are eligible. Twenty recipients each receive $3,750. Winners must attend foundation scholarship activities, including career development workshops and networking events with industry professionals. U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients who are African American/Black, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, or Native American/American Indian may apply for The LAGRANT Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship. Applicants must be full-time undergraduates at a four-year accredited U.S. institution, carrying at least 12 units per semester, with a 3.2 GPA and a major emphasizing advertising, marketing, or public relations, with at least one year of study remaining. Thirty recipients each receive $2,500. Winners must attend foundation scholarship activities, including career development workshops and networking with advertising, marketing, and public relations professionals. Teen parents who were pregnant or expecting by age 19 and are 25 or younger, raising or actively involved in their child's life, may apply for the Generation Hope Scholar Program. Applicants must attend or plan to attend a nonprofit college within 50 miles of Washington, D.C., New Orleans, or Dallas-Fort Worth for an associate's or bachelor's degree with at least 6 credits per semester. Scholars receive $1,200 per year at two-year colleges or $2,400 per year at four-year colleges, plus one-on-one mentoring, staff support, tutoring, mental health resources, and emergency funds. Renewal requires a 2.5 GPA. Submit a Student Aid Report or proof of FAFSA submission. U.S. citizens, legal residents, and eligible DACA recipients may apply. Generation Hope was founded by a former teen mother to help more young parents earn college degrees.

Women attending Art Center College of Design, Cal State LA (select colleges), East Los Angeles College, Glendale Community College, Pacific Oaks College (Pasadena), or Pasadena City College who are at least in their second year, maintain a 3.0+ GPA, enroll full time, and are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients may apply through the Pasadena Community Foundation portal. Graduate fellowships are also available. Award amounts vary. Undergraduates must be moving into full-time junior or senior status for the award year. The College Women's Club of Pasadena has awarded more than $1.3 million to over 680 women since 1921, supporting completion of undergraduate and graduate education at partner institutions.

DACA, TPS, undocumented, and other high-need students who are graduating high school seniors or recent graduates residing in Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina may apply for the Golden Door Scholarship. Applicants need a minimum 3.2 GPA, demonstrated financial need, and a plan to major in a career-ready field. Awards cover full tuition and room and board for up to four years at a participating partner college, along with career coaching and mentorship. Exact amounts may vary by college match. Complete the full application, including required essay and video, plus academic transcripts and other requested materials. Recipients accept their college match and major in a preferred field.
