GPA Calculator
Add your courses, grades, and credits to calculate your GPA on the standard 4.0 scale.
How your GPA is calculated
Each letter grade converts to grade points (an A is 4.0, a B is 3.0, and so on). Multiply each course's grade points by its credits, add them up, then divide by your total credits. That weighted average is your GPA.

Common questions
How do I calculate my GPA?
Convert each letter grade to grade points (A = 4.0, B = 3.0, and so on), multiply by the course's credits, add everything up, then divide by your total credits. This calculator does all of that instantly as you type.
Is this weighted or unweighted GPA?
Unweighted, on the standard 4.0 scale. Weighted GPAs add extra points for AP, IB, or honors classes, and every school weights differently, so check your transcript for your school's weighted number.
What is a good GPA?
A 3.0 is solid, and a 3.5 or higher is competitive for most colleges and merit scholarships. But scholarships exist at every GPA range, and thousands have no GPA minimum at all.
What GPA do I need for scholarships?
Lower than you'd think. Many scholarships never look at grades, and others set the bar at 2.5 or 3.0. Award Scholar matches you with scholarships you actually qualify for, whatever your GPA.
