About this scholarship

Teen parents who were pregnant or expecting by age 19 and are 25 or younger, raising or actively involved in their child's life, may apply for the Generation Hope Scholar Program. Applicants must attend or plan to attend a nonprofit college within 50 miles of Washington, D.C., New Orleans, or Dallas-Fort Worth for an associate's or bachelor's degree with at least 6 credits per semester.

Scholars receive $1,200 per year at two-year colleges or $2,400 per year at four-year colleges, plus one-on-one mentoring, staff support, tutoring, mental health resources, and emergency funds. Renewal requires a 2.5 GPA.

Submit a Student Aid Report or proof of FAFSA submission. U.S. citizens, legal residents, and eligible DACA recipients may apply. Generation Hope was founded by a former teen mother to help more young parents earn college degrees.
