About this scholarship
New York State women who are U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients with a bachelor's degree and at least one semester completed in an accredited New York graduate program may apply. Four fellowships of $2,000 each are awarded annually for master's or doctoral study.
Submit transcripts, two recommendations, and a one-page personal statement describing accomplishments, goals, financial need, and intended use of graduate education. All materials must be postmarked by February 28.
Since 1987, the NY Grace LeGendre Endowment Fund has supported women pursuing diverse graduate fields across New York colleges and universities.

- Two letters of recommendation from persons familiar with academic performance and/or professional work, sent directly by recommenders
- Eligibility: U.S. citizen, DACA recipient, or permanent Green Card holder; New York State resident; holds a bachelor's degree; currently enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited NYS institution
