About this scholarship
The flagship NESA scholarship for Eagle Scouts. Applicants must be Eagle Scouts (Eagle Board of Review completed by the posted cutoff), be members of the National Eagle Scout Association, and apply between their senior year of high school and their junior year of an undergraduate program. Recipients must enroll full time; the four-year Cooke awards require enrollment at an accredited four-year college or university in a bachelor's degree program. Students at U.S. military academies and graduate students are not eligible.
One recipient receives a four-year $50,000 award, four receive four-year $30,000 awards, and one $10,000 one-year award goes to each of 14 Council Service Territories. Apply through the NESA scholarship portal, which opens December 1 each year and closes January 31; selection weighs school, Scouting and community-service participation, character, and financial need.
