About this scholarship
The Paul Robeson Scholarship at Raritan Valley Community College honors the Somerville-born scholar, athlete, artist, and civil rights activist. It is available to Black or African American matriculating high school graduates entering RVCC as first-year students with a high school GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference is given to residents of Somerset or Hunterdon counties. Recipients receive two thousand dollars toward their education. Students apply through the RVCC Foundation AwardSpring portal during open scholarship windows. Applicants must be accepted to RVCC, enrolled in at least six credits in an eligible program, and complete the FAFSA when eligible.
