Scholarships at Toronto Metropolitan University

Domestic applicants to the Ted Rogers MBA at Toronto Metropolitan University are eligible based on academic excellence, extracurricular or community involvement, and financial need. Awards are up to $15,000 for full-time students or up to $5,000 for part-time students. Domestic full-time applicants are considered at admission; part-time domestic applicants receive an application from the administrator before or at the start of studies. Funding is supported by a donation from Ted and Loretta Rogers to the Ted Rogers School of Management.

Fourth-year Interior Design undergraduates at Toronto Metropolitan University who are Ontario residents and Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons, with clear standing and demonstrated financial need (budget form required), may apply. The scholarship supports design excellence on major final-year projects. Shortlisted candidates may be forwarded to Yabu Pushelberg for internship interviews. The award is $13,144.41. Submit a portfolio digitally through AwardSpring. George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg are 1976 graduates of TMU's School of Interior Design and founders of the internationally recognized design firm.

Open to Indigenous (Aboriginal) students entering Toronto Metropolitan University's Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration. Applicants must meet the program's admission requirements, hold Canadian citizenship or protected-person status, be Ontario residents, and demonstrate financial need. Up to two awards of up to $10,000 are available. Funding comes from Hydro One Networks Inc. and the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS). Applicants may be self-nominated or nominated by peers, faculty, or staff. Materials include a one-page cover letter, resume, three letters of support, and an OTSS budget form.

Full-time 2L or 3L students at Toronto Metropolitan University's Lincoln Alexander School of Law who self-identify as members of a historically disadvantaged group under the Ontario Human Rights Code, demonstrate interest in an in-house or general counsel career path, and have financial need may receive the Rogers and CGCA Award. Rogers and the Canadian General Counsel Awards created the award in honour of Marisa Wyse, Chief Legal and Regulatory Officer and Corporate Secretary at Rogers, who received the 2023 CGCA Canadian General Counsel of the Year award.

Fourth-year undergraduates in Toronto Metropolitan University's Department of Mathematics (full- or part-time) with clear academic standing, a CGPA of 3.0 or higher at the end of third year, and outstanding contribution to athletic and/or student life (varsity sports, course unions, clubs, or organizations) may receive the C. Third-year Film Studies students in Toronto Metropolitan University's School of Image Arts who are continuing into fourth year may receive this award for excellence in cinematography and lighting design. Funding is intended to help with fourth-year production costs. The award is $960. Apply through TMU AwardSpring. Created by the Canadian Independent Camera Association (CICA) to celebrate excellence in student cinematography.
