About this scholarship
High school seniors enrolled in a York County, Pennsylvania high school or nontraditional students with proof of high school or GED completion who are of Hispanic or Latino heritage may apply.
The York County Hispanic Coalition awards $1,000 scholarships. The number of recipients varies each year.
Complete all application sections and attach a college acceptance letter, transcript, letters of recommendation, and two essays by April 24.

- Completed release of information / authorization form
- One combined one-page essay of no more than 500 words responding to both Hispanic/Latino heritage and future impact questions
- High school transcript
- Letter of acceptance from the post-secondary institution to attend Fall 2026
- Two (2) letters of recommendation from non-relatives (e.g., teachers, guidance counselors, employers, youth group advisors, clergy)
- Completed release of information / authorization form
- In-person interview if selected as a finalist
- Must be of Hispanic/Latino heritage
- Must be a high school senior enrolled in a York County (PA) high school
- Application must be postmarked by April 24, 2026 and mailed to YCHC P.O. Box 722, York, PA 17405
- An in-person interview is required if selected as a finalist.
