About this scholarship
Virginia residents (or applicants willing to relocate to Virginia) pursuing education, training, or certification for ship repair and related maritime trades may apply for Virginia Ship Repair Foundation scholarships funded by the Bill Crow Memorial Endowment, including the Victor Figueroa Volunteer of the Year Scholarship. High school seniors, college seniors planning a maritime career, career changers, and dependents of Virginia Ship Repair Association member company employees are encouraged to apply.
Award amounts vary. Total awards across the foundation's scholarships exceed $20,000 annually.
Submit the application form, a one-page personal statement on your interest in ship repair and how the award would help, and a letter of recommendation from a mentor, employer, or educator by March 27.
