About this scholarship
Washington State high school seniors graduating in June who have completed at least 10 hours of community service may apply for the Toys for Kids Hendu Education Scholarship.
The award is a one-time $5,000 scholarship for the academic year. Winners are notified in November.
Applicants write a 300 to 600 word, double-spaced essay responding to the provided prompt and submit a letter of recommendation from a school official or mentor, combined into a single PDF. The scholarship honors the legacy of Dave Henderson and recognizes seniors with a strong commitment to community service.
