About this scholarship

U.S. citizens with at least a 3.2 GPA who are seeking admission to a two-year U.S. graduate program relevant to Foreign Service work may apply for the Rangel Graduate Fellowship. Fellows receive up to $42,000 per year for two years toward tuition, room, board, books, and fees, plus funded Capitol Hill and overseas embassy internships, mentoring, and professional development.

Applicants apply to approved graduate programs alongside the fellowship application. Fellows who complete the program and Foreign Service entry requirements receive appointments as Foreign Service Officers and commit to a minimum of five years of service.
