About this scholarship
Young people ages 14 to 18 who are legal residents of the United States or Puerto Rico and have started a project promoting positive change may apply. Applicants must not be older than 18 by the end of the entry period.
Up to 25 selected visionaries may receive up to $15,000 in awards, an all-expenses-paid trip with a parent or guardian to Prudential headquarters in Newark, New Jersey, and coaching to advance their initiative.
Submit one application in English describing your project and its impact. Prior Prudential Spirit of Community honorees and employees of sponsoring organizations are not eligible.

- Photos of the project in action and a banner/card image
- Must have a pre-existing project/initiative started on or before June 1 of the application year (project-based application, not a traditional essay scholarship)
- Select an application category: 'Financial Solutions for a Changing World' or 'Societal Solutions for a Changing World'
- References required: at least one must be a parent/guardian; others can be teachers/mentors who know you and your project (cannot be Ashoka/Prudential employees). References complete a short survey (~
- Upload photos of your project in action and a banner/card image (max 5 MB; .jpeg/.jpg/.png/.tiff)
- Online account/registration on the Changemakers platform; application submitted via '+ Add Project'
- Eligibility: ages 14-18 (not older than 18 by end of entry period), legal resident of the US or Puerto Rico (or live abroad with a parent/guardian eligible to vote in the US/PR); one application per p
- Winners must attend the in-person Awards Summit at Prudential HQ (Newark, NJ) with a parent/guardian
- Multi-stage timeline: optional Early Entry deadline (late September, two $1,000 prizes) and final application deadline (Nov 2, 11:59 PM ET); reference outreach and review occur Nov-Dec
- Choose either the Financial Solutions for a Changing World or Societal Solutions for a Changing World application category.
