About this scholarship
Individual teaching artists may participate in SU-CASA, a city-funded residency placing artists at senior centers across New York City for approximately three months. Artists develop arts programming with participating seniors and deliver a public culminating event.
Individual artists apply through their home borough arts council (Bronx Council on the Arts, Brooklyn Arts Council, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, or Staten Island Arts). Queens-based individual artists must partner with an organization for FY26.
The FY26 DCLA deadline was October 23, 2025 at 5 PM ET. Stipends are typically $6,000 plus up to $2,000 for materials per published SU-CASA guidelines.
SU-CASA is a collaboration of NYC Council, DCLA, DFTA, and borough arts councils.
