About this scholarship
Practicing emerging professional artists who live and create within Atlanta corporate city limits may apply for the Emerging Artist Award under the Municipal Support for the Arts program. Six artists are selected annually; each receives a $1,500 contract and a group exhibition at Chastain Arts Center and Gallery.
Awards are project contracts administered by the Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs. Amount is fixed at $1,500 per selected artist.
Applications run on the annual MSA cycle through the GoSmart portal; the FY26 cycle closed August 15, 2025. First-time applicants must attend a virtual application workshop.
This is a distinct Atlanta OCA program (not other cities' Emerging Artist awards) under the city's public arts funding portfolio.
