MAB Foundation Scholarship

The Michigan Association of Broadcasters Foundation awards its general scholarship each year to students who show passion, talent and commitment to a future in broadcasting or media. Three recipients are selected: first place receives $4,000, second place $2,000 and third place $1,000, and winners are honored at the Michigan Student Broadcast Awards Luncheon in Lansing.

Applicants must be studying broadcast, media or related fields (such as engineering, sales, business, graphic design or marketing) at a Michigan college, university or trade school, and must have at least one semester of schooling remaining, so graduating seniors are not eligible.

The application requires an instructor recommendation, additional recommendations, a resume, at least two work or project samples and a 500-word career-goals essay. The 2026 deadline was January 16.
