Louisiana Sheriffs' Scholarship Program

The Louisiana Sheriffs' Educational Scholarship Program, funded through the Louisiana Sheriffs' Honorary Membership Program, awards a scholarship of up to $1,000 to a graduating high school senior in each of Louisiana's 64 parishes. There are no restrictions on the student's intended field of study.

Applicants must be permanent residents of Louisiana, must enroll as full-time undergraduate students at an institution of higher learning within Louisiana (technical colleges included), and must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, with supporting documentation for GPA and ACT scores.

Students download the application from the Louisiana Sheriffs' Association website and submit it to the sheriff of the parish of their permanent residence by April 1 each year. Winners are announced by May 1.
