About this scholarship
Arkansas residents who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and are dependent children or spouses of Arkansas law enforcement officers, firefighters, foresters, correctional officers, certain Highway and Transportation or Community Punishment Department employees, or teachers killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty may receive the Law Enforcement Officers' (LEO) Dependents Scholarship through the Arkansas Department of Higher Education.
The award waives tuition, fees, and room at any public Arkansas college, university, or technical institute. It is granted for one academic year and may renew annually for up to eight semesters if the student maintains at least a 2.0 GPA and satisfactory progress toward a degree.
Apply through ADHE by the July 1 deadline. Award notices explain benefits, continued eligibility, and student responsibilities.
