About this scholarship
The Association of Cuban-American Engineers Scholarship Foundation assists Cuban-American and other Hispanic students in completing their engineering education. Competitive scholarships, historically $500 to $2,500, are awarded annually and presented at the association's Engineers Day Gala in Miami, Florida.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents of Cuban-American or other Hispanic heritage enrolled full-time in an engineering program at an ABET-accredited institution in the United States or Puerto Rico. Undergraduates should have completed at least 30 units toward a bachelor's degree and carry 12 or more semester hours; graduate students must carry 6 or more. A GPA of roughly 3.0 or higher is expected.
The application requires an official transcript and the first page of the Student Aid Report. The application window typically runs in September, closing around October 1.
