About this scholarship

U.S. high school seniors applying to Air Force ROTC may compete for High School Scholarship Program awards. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, meet minimum SAT or ACT and GPA requirements, pass a DoDMERB medical exam, and complete a physical fitness assessment and interview.

Scholarship types vary in value: Type 1 covers full tuition with stipends, Type 2 provides up to $18,000 per year in tuition plus stipends, and Type 7 covers full tuition capped at the in-state rate with stipends. All types include a book allowance and monthly stipend.

Apply through the Air Force ROTC scholarship application. Accepting an award creates a service obligation with the U.S. Air Force or Space Force.
