Qualifying recipients receive $1,800 per year for up to four consecutive years of postsecondary education. The amount is set each year by Lawrenceburg City Council. Recipient count varies. Graduating seniors apply online and submit signed service learning report forms to the Dearborn Community Foundation office by 4 p.m. on June 7. The City of Lawrenceburg established this program in memory of Paul E. "Truck" Tremain to support LHS graduates who give back to their community.

$1,000Annual: June 13U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled as undergraduates may submit an original student paper on a topic in the atmospheric sciences for the American Meteorological Society's Father James B. Macelwane Award. One winner receives a $1,000 award. No more than two students from any one institution may enter papers in a single contest cycle. Submit a PDF of the original paper, a 250-word abstract, a letter of application, a faculty letter confirming undergraduate status and original contributions, and the Student Assessment form.

$10,000Annual: June 15Michigan residents admitted to an MDE-approved educator preparation program who are full-time juniors working toward teacher certification with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA may apply for the MI Future Educator Fellowship. The fellowship pays up to $10,000 per academic year toward tuition and required fees, with up to 2,500 awards granted annually. It is renewable up to three years ($30,000 lifetime maximum). Complete the fellowship application, file a FAFSA, and sign the Commitment to Teach in Michigan Agreement. Recipients agree to teach in Michigan upon certification. Apply by June 15 or year-round as funding allows.
