Scholarships at University of Windsor

Year 1 University of Windsor Law students interested in pursuing a legal career that supports and advocates for anti-racism may apply. The scholarship is open to all students, with preference for those who self-identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Colour. Selection considers demonstrated experience in anti-racism advocacy and a clear plan for using a legal career to address systemic discrimination. One award of $10,000 is renewable for two additional years. Recipients may also receive a stipend of up to $2,000 for travel, accommodations, and meals to attend a curated 'Day on Bay St.' symposium in Toronto (or a virtual alternative), plus ongoing mentorship and coaching from Scotiabank and partners, and a possible interview for a co-op or internship. Law I students at the University of Windsor may apply for the Michael A. Wadsworth, Q.C. Memorial Scholarship based on financial need, academic standing, and involvement in athletics. Open to a full-time Year 1 or 2 Business Administration undergraduate at the University of Windsor who graduated from a high school in Windsor or Essex County. Selection is based on demonstrated leadership and community involvement; financial need may be considered. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents (including Protected Persons). For a Year 3 or 4 student in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Windsor who is of Black African descent. Applicants must show active involvement and leadership in campus activities, groups, or clubs; meet a minimum 72% average; and demonstrate financial need. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents (including Protected Persons) who meet OSAP Ontario residency requirements. Three awards of $2,000 are available annually. Apply online.

Full-time Odette School of Business students entering year 3 in accounting, finance, or strategy at the University of Windsor may apply. Candidates need a minimum cumulative average of 75%, an outstanding record of leadership and community involvement, a demonstrated interest in pursuing an accounting designation, and current CPA Associate Member status. Full-time University of Windsor undergraduate students in year 2 or beyond who are Windsor-area hourly Chrysler employees with at least five years seniority, or dependent children of such employees. Based on character, demonstrated financial need, and scholastic potential (minimum 73% cumulative average). One award of $1,800. Available at the University of Windsor to part-time and full-time undergraduate and graduate students, domestic and international, at any level, who are experiencing financial hardship. Students must be in good academic standing. This award may not be combined with other Organization of Part-time University Student (OPUS) awards. The scholarship is $1,500. Four awards are available. Preference goes to applicants who have demonstrated a commitment to Rotary objectives in community and/or international service. One award of $1,500 is available.
