Scholarships at University of Toronto Scarborough

University of Toronto Scarborough undergraduates entering 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year with special educational needs due to a physical or learning disability may apply. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, hold a good academic record (minimum B average or 3.0 GPA), demonstrate outstanding leadership in school or community, and show financial need. Full-time enrollment is preferred. The award is $7,500. Students below a 3.0 cumulative GPA may still apply if their most recent session GPA is at least 3.0 since diagnosis or disability supports were implemented.

Canadian citizens or permanent residents who are Ontario residents in second or third year in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, the Faculty of Arts and Science, UTM, or UTSC may apply. Selection is based on financial need and academic merit, with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Candidates must also show involvement in micro/nanofabrication through research, coursework, or work experience, or propose a summer research or capstone project in that area. The award is up to $5,000. An essay is part of the application.

University of Toronto Scarborough undergraduates entering second, third, or fourth year who have actively contributed to UTSC and/or the wider community may apply for the Elizabeth Marie Bain Community Spirit Award. Recipients need consistent extracurricular involvement, a good academic record (minimum B / 3.0 GPA), and financial need. The award is $2,000. Full-time domestic University of Toronto Scarborough undergraduates enrolled in Environmental Studies or Environmental Science in the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences who demonstrate financial need may receive the Larry Holbrook Award in Environmental Science as a named UTAPS grant. The amount covers unmet need after government student aid. Apply through the Need Navigator.
