Vermont Artist Development Grants

Vermont artists at all career stages may apply for funding to enhance craft mastery, business viability, or rare creation opportunities. Applicants must be Vermont residents with at least one year of state residency.

Grants support up to $2,000 for mentorship, conferences, residencies, professional services, materials, equipment, or studio rental. Examples include documentation, website development, marketing materials, and bookkeeping systems.

The program runs twice yearly. The next deadline is September 7, 2026, with applications accepted through the online grant portal when status is open. Grant period runs September 1 through August 31.

Vermont Arts Council funds Artist Development Grants through private donors including Vermont Community Foundation fundholders.
