About this scholarship
Choreographers of all genres and backgrounds with a CreativeGround profile listing dance as their primary discipline may apply. Applicants must reside full-time and create in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont.
Grants range from $1,500 to $2,500 for a specific career-advancing opportunity taking place between January 1 and December 31, 2027. Eligible uses include residencies, research trips, conferences, workshops, tour planning, documentation, artist fees, and consultant costs.
The next deadline is September 28, 2026. Applicants are notified in early December 2026. A complete grantee report is due 40 days after project completion.
NEFA is a regional nonprofit arts funder serving all six New England states, supported by The Aliad Fund at the Boston Foundation for this program.
