About this scholarship
Lehigh County, Pennsylvania residents enrolled full-time in an accredited U.S. medical school may apply for the LeCoMASE Fund Scholarship administered by the Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
Two awards of $3,400 are offered.
Applications are accepted from July through September 30. Submit proof of Lehigh County residency and current medical school enrollment with the foundation's application form.
The fund is supported by contributions from the Lehigh County Medical Auxiliary's Scholarship and Educational Fund.

- Two non-family reference letters, including at least one from a medical school
- Medical-school letter verifying full-time enrollment
- Proof of Lehigh County residency
- A completed scholarship application (submitted via the Scholarship Application Portal at foundation.secure-platform.com)
- Two reference letters from persons other than family members, documenting the applicant's integrity, interpersonal skills, and potential as a future physician; at least one must be from a medical scho
- A letter on school letterhead from the applicant's medical school verifying full-time enrollment as a medical student
- Eligibility: U.S. citizen; resident of Lehigh County, PA for at least 12 months prior to registering as a medical student; enrolled full-time in a fully accredited U.S. medical school
- Submit an essay addressing goals and expectations in medicine (maximum 750 words).
