About this scholarship
U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents pursuing or planning to pursue post-secondary education or training in roofing or a related building-industry field may apply for the Castagra Roofing Scholarship.
Two awards are granted: $1,500 for the winner and $500 for the runner-up. Awards are not renewable but applicants may reapply in future years.
Submit a 2 to 4 minute video or a 500 to 1,000 word essay on your educational and career goals and your interest in innovation and sustainability in the building industry.

- Either a 2–4 minute video or a 500–1,000 word essay describing educational and career goals and contribution to the roofing industry.
- Applicants may submit EITHER a 500-1000 word essay OR a 2-4 minute video (essay is one option)
- Word limit is a range: 500-1000 words (minimum 500, maximum 1000)
- Must be pursuing post-secondary education in roofing or a related building-industry field (construction, waterproofing, etc.), or demonstrate dedication to entering the industry
- Passionate about innovation and/or sustainability
- American or Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Not a Castagra employee or family member
- Provide name, address, email, and phone
- Deadline: September 4, 2026 (midnight PST)
- Award: $1,500 winner / $500 runner-up
- Special consideration is given to applicants passionate about sustainability and/or innovation in the building industry.
- Applicants may reapply in future years, but awards are not renewable.
