New Ph.D. students accepted into Saint Louis University School of Medicine's Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Graduate Program may compete for this scholarship. One Ph.D. core student and one M.D./Ph.D. student are selected annually. Indicate interest when you apply to the Biomedical Sciences program. Recipients receive a $35,000 yearly stipend plus tuition and health insurance. Coverage lasts three years for Ph.D. core students and one year for M.D./Ph.D. students. New female students accepted to College of Saint Mary who are U.S. citizens with at least a 3.0 GPA and plans to major in biology, chemistry, mathematics, or human biology (non-Pre-PA) while living on campus may apply for the NSF-funded Marie Curie Scholars Program. Up to seven students may receive up to $20,000 per year, renewable up to four years. The program includes academic support, research opportunities, STEM community activities, conference travel, internships, and industry networking. Complete the Marie Curie application, FAFSA, a 500-word STEM essay, and a virtual interview with the program director. The scholarship supports academically talented women in STEM fields.

First-year thesis-track students in the Great Lakes Environmental Science M.A. program at SUNY Buffalo State may apply for the Huppuch Graduate Tuition Scholarship. Candidates should have a 3.3 undergraduate GPA, Buffalo State faculty support, and research interests in aquatic and watershed sciences. Up to three awards of up to $12,000 per academic year (up to $6,000 per semester) cover tuition, mandatory fees, and books. Complete applications received by the deadline receive full consideration for fall entry. Applicants submit a one-page research interests statement. African American residents of Hampton Roads, Virginia with at least a 3.0 GPA who are committed to pursuing a STEM degree may apply for the African American Leadership Society STEM Scholarship administered by United Way of South Hampton Roads. Eligible applicants include high school seniors, currently enrolled college students, and qualifying veterans entering college. Scholarships are worth up to $10,000 toward tuition. The number of awards varies. Women account for at least 50% of recipients, and 25% of awards are designated for first-generation college students. Transfer students with 60 to 90 credits planning to major in biology, biotechnology, computer science, computer information technology and security, data science and AI, chemistry, or mathematics at Elms College may apply for NSF-supported Elms STEM scholarships. Awards are up to $10,000 per year. Five scholarships are available. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents with FAFSA-documented financial need and admission to Elms. Pre-med and education-only tracks are not eligible. The ElmSTEMs program, funded by the National Science Foundation, provides scholarships and programming for STEM majors with demonstrated need.

U.S. Lime Connect network members with disabilities enrolled at a four-year university pursuing a healthcare or STEM degree may apply for the Johnson and Johnson Access-Ability Lime Scholarship. Each recipient receives $10,000 toward education expenses. Submit a resume, transcripts, three essays on healthcare career goals and disability inclusion, and one reference through the Lime Connect application portal. Johnson and Johnson partners with Lime Connect to support students with disabilities pursuing healthcare and STEM careers.

New Jersey residents who are undergraduate juniors or seniors, or graduate students, with at least 15 completed undergraduate credits and a 3.3 or higher GPA may apply for Land Conservancy of New Jersey scholarships while pursuing environmental science, conservation, natural resource management, or related fields at an accredited college or university. The conservancy awards ten scholarships of $10,000 each, paid directly to the recipient's institution. Submit a resume, a 500-word essay, an official transcript, and two letters of recommendation by the April 1 deadline. For decades the Land Conservancy has supported New Jersey students preparing for careers protecting natural resources, with a selection process committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

College sophomores and juniors who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents with at least a 3.0 GPA and intent to pursue research careers in natural sciences, mathematics, or engineering must apply through their campus Goldwater faculty representative. Each scholar receives up to $7,500 per academic year for one or two years depending on class year. Up to 454 scholarships may be awarded nationally. Nominees submit a research essay, questionnaire, three recommendations, and transcripts. Campus nominations are due the last Friday in January. Direct applications without campus nomination are not considered.

Outstanding graduate students in science or engineering preparing for water-sector careers may apply for AWWA's Larson Aquatic Research Support (LARS) scholarships, administered in memory of Dr. Thurston E. Larson. Two awards are offered each year: $5,000 for a master's student and $7,000 for a doctoral student. Applicants should demonstrate strong academic achievement and potential in their field. Applications require academic transcripts and letters of recommendation.
