Computer Engineering Scholarships

High school seniors and undergraduate women and non-binary students pursuing STEM degrees at U.S. colleges may apply for the Cards Against Humanity Science Ambassador Scholarship. Five winners each receive a $20,000 tuition stipend. Film a three-minute public YouTube mini-lecture explaining a STEM topic you are passionate about. The video must be scientifically accurate with cited sources, creative, and not a personal statement. An advisory board of women and non-binary STEM professionals reviews submissions and selects finalists.

High school seniors planning to study computer science or engineering full time at a U.S. college may apply for the Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship. Recipients receive up to $10,000 per year for up to four years based on unmet financial need, plus a paid Amazon internship after freshman year. Selection weighs academics, leadership, activities, and financial need. Up to 200 students may be selected. Applicants must demonstrate authorization to work in the U.S. and submit the online application with academic records and financial need documentation by the posted deadline.

High school seniors or full-time undergraduate students at accredited U.S. or Canadian universities studying computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field may apply for the Generation Google Scholarship. Selected U.S. students receive $10,000 based on academic performance, financial need, leadership, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in technology. Google encourages students from historically excluded groups in tech to apply. Submit the online application with proof of enrollment, transcripts, an essay on leadership and DEI commitment, and documentation of financial need.

Full-time sophomores, juniors, and seniors at accredited North American universities majoring in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, safety, or industrial hygiene who plan careers in the iron and steel industry may apply. Applicants must be USMCA citizens (U.S., Canada, or Mexico) with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Recipients receive a $7,500 scholarship and must commit to a paid summer internship at a North American steel-related company. AIST assists with internship placement, and self-placed internships require pre-approval. Apply with an essay, resume, transcript, and recommendation letters expressing strong interest in the iron and steel industry by the October 5 deadline.

Ohio high school seniors (including homeschooled students) who are U.S. citizens with at least a 3.0 GPA and who will enroll in an accredited college or university to pursue a Bachelor of Science in a Goodyear STEM or engineering discipline may apply for Goodyear STEM Career Day Scholarships, funded by Goodyear and The Goodyear Women’s Network. Up to $2,500 is available, with 18 awards. Funds are paid to the student’s financial aid account for tuition, mandatory fees, on-campus housing, and meal plans. If there are no outstanding charges, the scholarship is forfeited; no funds are paid directly to the student.

Graduating high school seniors in the AABE New Jersey Chapter service area with at least a 3.0 GPA who plan to enroll in an accredited college may apply. You must pursue a major in business, physical sciences, technology, engineering, arts, or mathematics and be part of an underrepresented minority group. Up to three scholarships of up to $1,000 each are offered. Apply through the national AABE scholarship application when the window opens. A discretionary award is also available for immediate family of NJ Chapter members.

U.S. citizens majoring in STEM or STEM education at Alaska colleges or universities may apply for competitive Alaska Space Grant Program undergraduate scholarships of up to $1,000. Freshmen and sophomores are preferred. Past recipients may reapply. Women, underrepresented minorities, and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. Submit the application with a research proposal or project description and academic records during the application window from February 15 through September 16.

U.S. citizens or permanent residents pursuing a PhD in applied physical sciences, biological sciences, mathematics, or engineering may apply for the Hertz Foundation Graduate Fellowship. Applicants must be college seniors, first-year graduate students, or in a gap year preparing for graduate study and must morally commit to making their skills available to the United States in times of national emergency. Fellowships provide a cost-of-education allowance and personal stipend, with total funding packages valued at up to $250,000 over five years. Fellows may pursue research at participating U.S. universities and join a lifelong network of Hertz Fellows. Submit an online application with academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, and personal essays. Finalists participate in multiple interview rounds.
