Scholarships for International Students

The Widener Presidential Scholarship provides international undergraduate applicants at least $25,000 per year, or $100,000 over four years, as an exclusive merit award for first-year international students. No separate application is required beyond completing the Widener admission application; recipients are automatically considered alongside other international merit and talent scholarships. The award supports full-time study toward a first bachelor's degree and stacks conceptually with other Widener international awards such as the Global Engagement and #YouAreWelcomeHere scholarships where eligible. The Mānoa International Excellence Scholarship recognizes high-achieving international first-year students who require an F-1 visa to study at UH Mānoa. The award equals resident tuition rates, approximately $22,032 per year for four years (about $88,128 total). Applicants need a minimum 3.7 high school GPA and must submit supplemental New Warrior materials including a community-impact essay and activities list. Apply for admission by January 5 and submit supplemental materials by January 15 for fall enrollment. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA and full-time enrollment to renew annually.

Merit scholarship for admitted out-of-state first-year students with at least a 3.8 UT weighted core GPA who apply by January 15 and submit test scores by May 15. Awards range from three thousand to eighteen thousand dollars per year for four years based on GPA and ACT or SAT tiers, with the highest awards requiring a 4.0 GPA and top test scores. Recipients must matriculate the fall after high school graduation, maintain a 3.0 GPA, full-time enrollment, and SAP. Cannot combine with Orange and White Scholarship.

Four-year scholarship for incoming first-year international students who are non-resident visa holders not graduating from a U.S. high school, with at least a 3.8 UT converted weighted core GPA. Apply for admission by May 1 and submit test scores by April 1; awards range from three thousand to eighteen thousand dollars annually based on academic credentials. Maintain a 3.0 GPA, full-time enrollment, and non-resident visa status. Cannot combine with other UT institutionally funded scholarships, though donor-funded competitive awards may stack.

Nonsponsored international students holding an F-1 visa who enroll as first-year or transfer undergraduates at Rutgers–Camden may receive an institutional international scholarship of up to seventeen thousand dollars per year. All Camden applicants are considered for merit scholarships automatically when they submit an undergraduate admissions application by the priority deadline, with no separate scholarship form required. Awards help offset out-of-state tuition for international students at the Camden campus. Amounts depend on academic credentials and available funding within the admitted international student pool.

The International Merit Award Scholarship supports first-year and transfer international students who require an F-1 visa to enroll at UH Mānoa. The award equals 150% of the resident tuition rate, approximately $16,380 per academic year, applied toward educational expenses. First-year applicants need a minimum 3.3 high school GPA; transfer applicants need a minimum 3.3 college GPA. Priority deadlines are June 1 for fall enrollment and November 1 for spring enrollment. No separate scholarship application is required beyond admission. Recipients must maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA and full-time enrollment to renew.

Admitted first-year international students on valid non-immigrant visas are automatically considered for Rutgers-New Brunswick international scholarships. Applicants who want scholarship consideration are encouraged to apply by the early action or regular decision deadlines; early applicants are more likely to be awarded given limited availability. Scholarships range from $5,000 to $16,000 per year for up to four years of undergraduate study. Recipients are expected to maintain at least a 3.25 GPA. Only admitted students who receive an offer are notified (incoming first-year notices begin in early March). No separate scholarship application is required.

International undergraduate students admitted to Ohio Dominican University are automatically considered for the International Academic Achievement Scholarship during admission review. No separate scholarship application is required. The award provides up to $15,000 per year and is renewable each year of undergraduate study if you maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. The number of recipients varies. Apply for undergraduate admission; merit review happens with your application file. This award may be packaged with other ODU international aid when the university offers it.

Nonresident undergraduate first-year students at the University of Iowa who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, or international students who graduate from a U.S. high school, are automatically considered for the National Scholars Award when they submit a complete admission application by February 2, 2026. Awards reflect academic merit (GPA and test scores through February of senior year / seventh-semester GPA) and promise at Iowa. Awards range from $2,000 to $15,000 per year for up to four years. Renewal requires continuous full-time enrollment, a 2.75 cumulative UI GPA, and continued non-resident tuition status. No separate scholarship application is required.

Honorary four-year scholarship for incoming first-year international students with at least a 3.0 UT converted weighted core GPA who apply for admission by May 1 and will not graduate from a U.S. high school. Award tiers range from ten thousand to fifteen thousand dollars annually based on GPA, with invitations to a separate application for students selected to represent UT as Global Ambassadors through international recruitment activities. Maintain a 3.0 GPA, full-time enrollment, non-resident visa status, and program participation. Does not combine with other institutional scholarships.
