Information Systems Scholarships

The Business and Information Technology Scholarship is one of Delta College's larger Foundation awards for students pursuing business or information-technology career tracks. Full-time recipients receive one thousand two hundred fifty dollars per semester, totaling two thousand five hundred dollars for the academic year, applied directly to their Delta student account for fall and winter. It is awarded through the annual December-to-February online scholarship application alongside other Foundation funds. Students must be enrolled at Delta College during the award year and cannot transfer the dollars to another institution. Dual-enrolled high school students during the award year are ineligible.

The Hawaiian Airlines Information Technology Endowed Scholarship, funded by a $100,000 grant from Hawaiian Airlines, supports UH System students studying information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, and related fields. Eligible programs include information technology at UH Mānoa Shidler College of Business, computer science at UH Mānoa and UH Hilo, and cybersecurity at UH West Oʻahu. The endowment helps build an IT career pipeline in Hawaiʻi. Students apply through the UH System Common Scholarship Application and campus financial aid processes. Award amounts vary based on fund earnings and applicant pool each cycle.

The Juneja P. Legacy Information Technology Scholarship recognizes FTCC students in the Information Technology or Digital Media Technology program who maintain strong academic records. Recipients must enroll in at least 12 credit hours, hold a minimum 3.5 GPA, and may apply funds to tuition, books, uniforms, or supplies. This merit-based award is selected through the FTCC Foundation AcademicWorks scholarship cycle, with award amounts varying based on endowed fund income each academic year.

First Nations Development Institute awards 20 to 25 scholarships of $1,000 to $1,500 each year to Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian college students majoring in agriculture and agriculture-related fields, including agribusiness, agronomy, animal husbandry, environmental studies, fisheries and wildlife, food science, horticulture, and sustainable food systems. Applicants must be full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate students majoring in an agriculture-related field or able to show how their degree relates to Native food systems, be tribally affiliated with documentation, hold at least a 2.75 GPA, and demonstrate a commitment to helping their community reclaim local food-system control. The online application for the 2026-2027 school year opened May 19, 2026 and closed June 16, 2026 at 5 p.m. Mountain Time; the scholarship runs annually.

The Xerox Award for Innovation and Information Technology recognizes high school juniors with strong achievement in innovation or information technology, exposure to technology outside school, and leadership helping peers adopt new approaches to problems. Participating schools nominate one qualified junior each year through Rochester's High School Awards Program. Nominees receive an application fee waiver and, if admitted to the College of Arts, Sciences and Engineering, may receive a merit scholarship from $10,000 to $35,000 per year. The award highlights inventive thinking and technology engagement but does not guarantee admission or scholarship selection.

Incoming and continuing full-time undergraduates at technical, two-year, or four-year institutions who are family members or employees of a herd on DHIA test, or family members of an employee of a DHIA affiliate whose affiliate is a National DHIA member, may apply for the National Dairy Herd Information Association Scholarship Program. National DHIA awards up to ten $1,000 scholarships annually. Selection weighs scholastic achievement, leadership, community activities, work experience, and knowledge of DHIA.

The Buckle Excellence Scholarship provides three thousand dollars over two years to incoming UNK freshmen majoring in the Department of Cyber Systems. Funded by a permanent endowment at the University of Nebraska Foundation, the award supports students interested in computer science and information technology careers. Applicants complete the Admitted Incoming Freshman Scholarship Application in MyBLUE and declare a Cyber Systems major. Preference goes to students with a minimum 26 ACT composite including at least 24 in math, though all new Cyber Systems students are encouraged to apply. The scholarship deadline follows the March 1 freshman scholarship cycle. Recipients may also receive internship and career development opportunities with Buckle.
