$25,000 Scholarships

Immigrants and children of immigrants who are 30 years old or younger and plan full-time enrollment in an eligible U.S. graduate or professional program may apply. Applicants may be applying to graduate school or in the early years of graduate study. Thirty fellows are selected annually. Each receives up to $25,000 per year in stipend plus up to $20,000 per year in tuition support, covering 50% of tuition and fees, for one to two years of study. Complete the fellowship application at pdsscholarship.org by the October 29 deadline, including required essays and supporting documents. The fellowship recognizes academic excellence and leadership among New Americans across all fields of study.

U.S. citizens and permanent residents who hold a master's degree or equivalent, or who are working toward a Ph.D. or equivalent, may apply for Belgian American Educational Foundation (BAEF) fellowships for advanced study or research at a Belgian university or institution of higher learning. Knowledge of Dutch, French, or German is optional. Applicants arrange their own registration or affiliation with a Belgian university or research institution. Fellowships provide up to $34,000 and include health insurance in Belgium. Graduate Study Fellowships and Research Fellowships are each non-renewable grants for one year. Applicants submit a completed application form, undergraduate and graduate transcripts, a brief autobiographical statement, a statement of purpose, and three letters of recommendation.

Doctoral students in anthropology (or equivalent thesis-level programs outside the U.S.) may apply for Wenner-Gren Dissertation Fieldwork Grants to fund dissertation or thesis research that advances anthropological knowledge. Qualified students of any nationality or institutional affiliation may apply if enrolled in a doctoral program and able to designate an on-campus dissertation advisor to supervise the project. Grants provide up to $25,000 for fieldwork and related research costs. Awards are nonrenewable, but applicants may request funding across distinct research phases (for example, two summers) when that fits the research design. Wenner-Gren does not cover institutional overhead or administrative fees. Apply online through the Foundation application portal when it opens (two months before each deadline). Submit a research proposal with Plan A and Plan B budgets, a bibliography, and required permits information. Deadlines are May 1 for projects starting January 1 through June 30 of the following year and November 1 for projects starting July 1 through December 31 of the following year. The review process takes about six months. The Wenner-Gren Foundation supports anthropological research worldwide and particularly welcomes proposals that integrate two or more subfields or pioneer new approaches.

High school juniors and seniors may form teams of one to five students to compete in the Modeling the Future Challenge, a math-modeling research project analyzing real-world risks using data analysis and actuarial methods. Registration is free and open to students in formal, informal, or homeschool groups. Teams submit a qualifying report and may advance through semifinals to finals. The top four teams receive tuition scholarships paid to U.S. colleges, with the highest award up to $25,000 divided among team members. Conduct an actuarial research project with recommendations for a company, organization, or government agency. Teams advancing beyond the first phase receive mentorship from actuarial professionals.

U.S. pre-doctoral art history candidates who will be all-but-dissertation when the fellowship begins and whose dissertation research focuses on European art from antiquity to the early 19th century may be nominated by their department for Kress History of Art Institutional Fellowships at European research centers. Departments may nominate a maximum of two candidates for different research centers. Six two-year fellowships are awarded at $45,000 per year. Applications are accepted in November for fellowships beginning the following academic year.

First-year Boston University applicants from the U.S. and abroad with exceptionally strong academic records may be considered. Recipients typically rank in the top 5% of their high school class and show significant extracurricular leadership. The Presidential Scholarship is a renewable merit award of $25,000 per year for up to four years of undergraduate study. No separate scholarship application is required. Submit your admission application and supporting credentials by December 1 for consideration. Renewal requires satisfactory academic progress, including a minimum 3.20 GPA.

College Board's BigFuture Scholarships program enters eligible members of the high-school class of 2027 into monthly drawings for $500 and $40,000 awards when they complete college- and career-planning steps in their BigFuture account. There is no essay, minimum GPA, test-score, merit, or financial-need requirement; eligible students can earn entries by completing current steps such as starting a career or scholarship list, strengthening a college list, completing financial-aid forms, or applying to college.

College Board's BigFuture Scholarships program gives United States high school seniors entries in monthly drawings for $500 and $40,000 awards when they record colleges they applied to in their BigFuture college list. The Apply to Colleges step is open to the graduating class of 2027 through November 30, 2026, and students from families earning under $60,000 receive twice as many entries.

Nine-month paid fellowship in Washington, D.C., for recent college graduates who earned a bachelor's degree within three years of the program start and want to develop Latino-focused public-policy careers. Fellows receive a $34,200 stipend, health benefits, metro allowance, and placements on Capitol Hill or at agencies, think tanks, or nonprofits. Submit four 300–600 word essays, resume, transcript, and recommendation through CHCI's application portal.

Tennessee residents from qualifying Middle Tennessee counties who plan to pursue a business, education, or STEM degree full-time at a four-year, nonprofit college or university may apply. Scholarship amounts vary based on financial need and may be applied to tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment. High school seniors need a minimum ACT score of 21 and GPA of 2.5. Award checks are made payable only to the college or university. Submit the online application between September 15 and December 15 with proof of financial need via a 1040 tax return, transcripts, and required documents.
