The Rainbow Scholarship, offered through the Fund for Education Abroad in partnership with the Rainbow SIG, awards up to $10,000 to a deserving LGBTQIA+ student participating in a high-quality, rigorous study abroad program.
Applicants must self-identify as LGBTQIA+ on the FEA application, be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or DACA recipient, be currently enrolled as an undergraduate at a U.S. college or university, demonstrate financial need, and plan to study abroad for at least four weeks for academic credit. One FEA application covers all FEA scholarships, including this one.
The Spring 2027 application opens July 29, 2026 and closes September 16, 2026 at noon Eastern; late applications are not accepted under any circumstances.
