About this scholarship
Emerging artists and writers residing on the Island of Montreal who have never received CALQ funding may apply for their first CALQ grant. Eligible disciplines include visual arts, literature, dance, theatre, music, film, digital arts, crafts, circus, and multidisciplinary practices.
Grants support research, creation, exploration, and production activities. Scout intake listed awards up to $15,000; discipline-specific amounts appear after selecting criteria on the CALQ portal.
The registration and application deadline is September 2, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Applications are submitted through the CALQ online system (Mon dossier CALQ).
This territorial partnership program is co-administered by CALQ and Arts et lettres de Montréal to help emerging Montreal artists access their first public arts funding.
