Current Simon Fraser University undergraduates in Biomedical Physiology, Kinesiology, or Behavioural Neuroscience majors or honours who travel to present research at a scientific meeting, or to conduct research or BPK-directed experiential learning. Conference attendance without presenting is not eligible. Amount varies; reimbursement is up to the amount awarded. Submit the BPK TMRA application form, acceptance notice for a talk or poster if presenting, and an unofficial transcript. Application deadlines fall on September 5, January 5, and March 5.

Open to second-year Master's or PhD students at York University who are affiliated with the Centre for Bee Ecology, Evolution and Conservation (BEEc) and show commitment to melittology, with preference for collections-based research. If no qualified collections-based researcher is available, the award may go to a second-year Master's or PhD student researching any area of bee biology, with preference for bee conservation biology. Recipients should acknowledge the award in their thesis and in related publications or presentations. The award amount varies. Apply to the Biology Graduate Program by September 14 with a one-page research statement, an updated CV, transcripts (undergraduate plus first year of graduate studies), and a nomination letter from a supervisor affiliated with BEEc. The award honors Maria Stea's dedication to research at York's Faculty of Science, especially bee systematics.

Second- or third-year Bachelor of Science students majoring in chemistry at Dalhousie University with demonstrated financial need and satisfactory academic standing may apply through Dalhousie's General Online Bursary Application. Applications for the Hill Bursaries should be submitted before September 15. Bursaries of varying amounts are available through the general online bursary program.

Canadian citizens or landed immigrants who are Yukon residents may apply for this bursary from Yukon Women in Trades and Technology (YWITT). Applicants must self-identify as a woman, non-binary, or gender-diverse person over age 16, plan to register at an accredited technical training institute, and not have previously received a bursary from the YWITT Bursary Fund. Proof of Yukon residency is required. Two bursaries are available from a $1,000 fund. The fund was renamed in memory of Penny Raven, a Yukoner and committed YWITT volunteer who championed trades training for women.
