Illinois residents of at least 50% Italian extraction who have studied Italian for at least two years (or are currently enrolled in Italian) and are admitted to or enrolled at an accredited college or university may apply for the Joseph U. Bottalla Memorial Scholarship from the Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans.
Awards of up to $1,500 are available.
Submit the JCCIA application, a 500-word essay on how your Italian heritage has influenced you, and a current transcript as one PDF to jcc@jccia.com between June 1 and November 1. Selected recipients are expected to attend the JCCIA December meeting.
