Artist Support Grants

North Carolina artists at any career stage apply through their regional consortium of local arts councils, not directly to the state agency. Grants support professional and artistic development including new work, equipment, workshops, travel to professional opportunities, and promotional materials.

Award amounts vary by region, typically $500 to $2,000 (some regions up to $3,000). Projects must be completed by December 31, 2026 for the current cycle.

Each of 18 regional consortia sets its own deadline between August and October 2026. Artists contact their local administering arts council to apply.
