About this scholarship
Undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in degree-seeking programs may apply for Sigma Xi Grants-in-Aid of Research. U.S. citizenship and residence are not required. Membership in Sigma Xi is not required to apply. Undergraduates who are graduating seniors must plan to complete their research before graduation. Applicants may receive a total of two Grants-in-Aid of Research and must show how their work uniquely contributes to the larger project.
Awards are up to $5,000. Funding may cover travel to a research site or non-standard laboratory equipment needed for a specific project. Active members (or students with active-member advisors) may receive higher ranges than non-members; designated funds also support astronomy and vision research.
Apply for the spring or fall cycle through Sigma Xi.
