BAEF Fellowships for Belgians

The BAEF encourages application for fellowships to talented Belgian individuals in the early years at each stage of their education. Every year, BAEF offers more than 65 Fellowships to Belgian students and researchers. This will allow you to pursue your studies, or research projects at your chosen US university or research center. In order to be able to apply for a BAEF Fellowship, you will need to have good grades and hold Belgian nationality. BAEF offers two categories of fellowships.

$40,000Due September 30, 2026The Arts Fund provides support to Australian, Aboriginal Australian, Torres Strait Islander, American and Native American emerging or early career artists undertaking or planning to undertake artistic development in the country of the other. These scholarships and grants support artists in the fields of theatre, film, television, dance, music, visual arts, design, literature, photography and fashion.

Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States and either have a master's degree or equivalent degree or be working towards a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Knowledge of Dutch, French, or German is optional. Applicants should make their own arrangements to register or affiliate with a Belgian university or research institution.
