Scholarships at Dordt University

Dordt University Music Scholarships range from two thousand to six thousand five hundred dollars for students who contributed significantly to high school or community music programs and plan to actively participate in Dordt vocal, instrumental, or keyboard ensembles. Communication majors are not required, but recipients enroll in Communication 241 Introduction to Journalism during their first fall semester and participate in publishing The Diamond, Dordt's biweekly student newspaper. Applicants submit an application form and a recommendation attesting to journalism abilities. Scholarships renew with a 2.00 cumulative GPA and active staff membership on The Diamond as determined by faculty advisors.

Worship Arts Ensemble Scholarships at Dordt University range from one thousand to two thousand dollars for students who contributed to high school or church worship teams and plan to participate as vocalists or instrumentalists in a Dordt worship ensemble. Worship arts majors, minors, and non-majors may apply with an application form, audition video, and recommendation from someone familiar with their worship arts skills. Renewal for three additional years requires a 2.00 cumulative GPA plus taking one worship arts course each year and participating in a worship ensemble annually.

Multicultural Leadership Program Scholarships at Dordt University provide two thousand dollars to students who commit to a two-year cohort in the Multicultural Leadership Program, helping the campus respond to demographic shifts while remaining doctrinally sound. MLP participants join a cohort offering community, contextual personal and spiritual formation, and leadership skills. Requirements include attending mandatory orientations, retreats, and weekly meetings plus two or more multicultural campus events per semester.
