About this scholarship
Dordt University Journalism Scholarships award one thousand to three thousand dollars to students who contributed significantly to their high school newspaper or other publication projects. Communication majors are not required, but recipients enroll in Communication 241 Introduction to Journalism during their first fall semester and participate in publishing The Diamond, Dordt's biweekly student newspaper. Applicants submit an application form and a recommendation attesting to journalism abilities. Scholarships renew with a 2.00 cumulative GPA and active staff membership on The Diamond as determined by faculty advisors.
