Physics Scholarships

The Jensen Physics Scholarship supports incoming first-year physics majors at Lake Forest College with awards from three thousand to eight thousand dollars annually. Admitted students submit an approximately five-hundred-word essay describing their experiences in physics and mathematics and why they want to continue studying physics at Lake Forest. Instead of a recommendation letter, provide a school email address for a teacher who can speak to your readiness for the major. Apply by March 1. The Manfred Pyka Memorial Physics Prize recognizes Princeton undergraduates for exceptional achievement in physics during their early college years. Recipients are named at Opening Exercises alongside other university academic prizes. The award honors students who excel in physics coursework and related study, often including prospective physics concentrators. Selection is based on academic performance; students do not submit a separate application for this departmental prize.

Merit-based physics scholarship awarded annually to a rising senior at Bridgewater College based on academic merit. The award is applied toward senior-year tuition and includes a plaque plus permanent recognition on a plaque in the McKinney Center for Science and Mathematics. Presented at the College Awards Ceremony each spring. Recipients are selected by faculty in the engineering and physics department based on outstanding academic performance in the physics program.
