Graduate Scholarships in Canada

Canadian citizens or permanent residents enrolled full-time in the second year of the professional English MBA or third term of the intensive English MBA at Telfer who are women, members of a racialized or Indigenous community, involved in their community, and in good academic standing may apply. The scholarship is $7,500. Apply via uoZone with a 500-word community-involvement letter and self-identification documentation by November 3.

Varsity athletes at the University of Windsor in any faculty or program with demonstrated financial need. Candidates must be registered in at least 60% of a full course load and meet OUA minimum academic average requirements for athletic financial awards. Canadian citizens or permanent residents (including protected persons) meeting OSAP residency rules are eligible; graduate students may also apply. Up to four awards of $4,500 are granted annually. University of Waterloo students with disabilities studying full- or part-time in a degree or non-degree program, who are experiencing financial difficulties and maintain a minimum 60% overall average, may apply. Applicants must have resided in Ontario for the required period before post-secondary study. One or more bursaries of up to $2,000 are awarded annually. Include a letter explaining eligibility and attach documentation outlining your disability, or indicate that documentation is on file at AccessAbility Services.

Entering or continuing full-time master's or doctoral students at the University of Lethbridge pursuing demography and population studies may apply. Applicants need a cumulative or entering GPA of 3.5 or higher. Preference is given to students working with the Prentice Institute. The award is $2,000. Apply online through the Graduate Application in the University of Lethbridge awards portal. Decisions are normally announced by early March, and the recipient is named at the annual Warren Kalbach Conference in Edmonton. The Society of Edmonton Demographers supports research and learning of demography in Alberta and Canada and funds this scholarship to advance graduate training in the field.

Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected/refugee-status students enrolled full-time in the Teacher Education program (primary/junior) or Formation à l'enseignement (niveau primaire/moyen) at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Education may apply. Candidates should demonstrate a background in music, drama, creative movement, dance, and/or aquatics, and the ability to work with children at the primary/junior level. For University of Calgary Faculty of Law JD students (typically second or third year) with the highest aggregate standing in LAW 527 Basic Tax Law and LAW 697 Corporate Tax. Open to any citizenship. One prize of up to $1,200 is offered annually. This is a Law Nominated award based on course standing. Established by family, friends, and colleagues of C. Anne Simpson, K.C., in recognition of her contributions to education, her profession, and her communities.

Students accepted to or enrolled in accredited U.S. college, trade, or high school STEM programs may apply for South Florida Forensic Engineering's annual STEM scholarship. Submit a one to two page essay, transcript, student ID, and contact details by email. One $1,000 award is made each year. Winners are notified by January 31. High school students accepted into qualifying STEM programs are eligible alongside current college and technical school enrollees.

Full-time graduate students in the University of Ottawa Faculty of Social Sciences with financial need who have completed coursework, passed the qualifying exam, and demonstrate academic excellence (considering years completed and program). Interest from this trust supports an annual award at the University of Windsor for a full-time Year 3 undergraduate Social Work student in odd-numbered years, and for a full-time graduate Social Work student in even-numbered years. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents (including those with Protected Persons status) meeting OSAP Ontario residency requirements and demonstrate financial need. The scholarship is $800. One award is available. Candidates must submit a statement outlining their interest and commitment to working with at-risk populations. Apply online.
