Rolling national scholarship for Canadian youth aged 15–29 pursuing short-term skills training rather than a full degree. Each $1,500 award is paid directly to the recipient for micro-credentials, certificate programs, workshops, trades certifications, continuing education, or other eligible learning costs; grades and transcripts are not required. Applicants register on the Scholarship Partners Canada portal, describe their learning plan, and submit supporting documents. Hundreds of awards are reviewed on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Part-time enrolment or not being in school is acceptable.

Canadian citizens or permanent residents who are Ontario residents in second or third year in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, the Faculty of Arts and Science, UTM, or UTSC may apply. Selection is based on financial need and academic merit, with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Candidates must also show involvement in micro/nanofabrication through research, coursework, or work experience, or propose a summer research or capstone project in that area. For University of Guelph students registered in any OAC program who are approved for travel to conferences, seminars, tradeshows, course field trips, semesters abroad, or similar experiential learning opportunities. Several awards of various amounts. Selection is based on the relevance of the intended travel and its benefits to the student’s program of study. Apply online using the OAC Travel Grant Application Form for the travel window that matches your dates. Applicants should explain the reason for travel, dates, estimated costs, and anticipated benefits.
University of Guelph Ontario Agricultural College students in any OAC program with a minimum 70% cumulative average who plan travel related to course study. One grant of up to $750. Apply with a letter of no more than two pages outlining the intended travel opportunity.
Undergraduate students at the University of Victoria who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to the pursuit of excellence in fine arts may apply. Recipients must demonstrate financial need and meet a minimum 3.5 sessional grade point average for continuing or transferring students, or a 70% admission average for students commencing post-secondary studies for the first time. The award amount varies. Athletics coaches distribute application forms to prospective students, who complete and return them to Student Awards and Financial Aid.

Selection is based on the intended study program, conference, or travel opportunity and the expected benefits of participation. The fund was established by F.W. Bray of Hamilton in memory of H.C. Mason, within the O.A.C. Teaching Trust.
