Canadian citizens or permanent residents who are Ontario residents in second or third year in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, the Faculty of Arts and Science, UTM, or UTSC may apply. Selection is based on financial need and academic merit, with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Candidates must also show involvement in micro/nanofabrication through research, coursework, or work experience, or propose a summer research or capstone project in that area. The award is up to $5,000. An essay is part of the application.
For University of Guelph students registered in any OAC program who are approved for travel to conferences, seminars, tradeshows, course field trips, semesters abroad, or similar experiential learning opportunities. Several awards of various amounts. Selection is based on the relevance of the intended travel and its benefits to the student’s program of study. University of Guelph Ontario Agricultural College students in any OAC program with a minimum 70% cumulative average who plan travel related to course study. One grant of up to $750. Apply with a letter of no more than two pages outlining the intended travel opportunity.

Recipients must demonstrate financial need and meet a minimum 3.5 sessional grade point average for continuing or transferring students, or a 70% admission average for students commencing post-secondary studies for the first time.
