President's Research Award

Current University of Waterloo undergraduates who received the President's Scholarship of Distinction in Year One and completed Year One full time with a minimum 80% cumulative average may claim this award. Eligible students may claim up to two upper-year awards of $1,500 each before graduating.

This $1,500 award supports a full- or part-time University of Waterloo research experience under a Waterloo researcher (in person or remotely), claimed from 2A to 4B (or later terms in some programs) before the undergraduate program ends.

Apply with the President's Research Award online form after securing a research position. Deadlines are October 1 (fall), February 1 (winter), and June 1 (spring).
