FFBC Scholarship

The First Friday Breakfast Club, one of Iowa's largest LGBTQ+ breakfast clubs, awards $3,000 scholarships to graduating Iowa high school seniors who have made significant efforts to counter homophobia, promote LGBTQ+ acceptance, and educate their schools and communities about LGBTQ+ issues.

Applicants must be graduating seniors at an Iowa high school who plan to pursue college or other post-secondary education; there is no restriction on the type or location of the institution. Awards are made without regard to the applicant's sexual orientation, gender identity, race, religion, marital status, or employment status, so allies engaged in LGBTQ+ advocacy may apply.

Application materials, including essays, transcripts, and letters of recommendation, must be submitted online by March 1, 2027 for the 2026-2027 cycle. Scholarships are paid in two installments upon proof of enrollment.
