About this scholarship

Kent County, Michigan residents who have lived in the county at least five years and hold a 2.75 or higher GPA while pursuing undergraduate fine arts study, including painting, may apply for the Mathilda and Carolyn Gallmeyer Scholarship through the Grand Rapids Community Foundation general application.

Award amounts go up to $1,000. Recipients are selected based on artistic talent, academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, a personal statement, and financial need.

Apply through the GRCF scholarship portal. The Grand Rapids Community Foundation administers this fund as part of its scholarship program for West Michigan students.
