Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship

Women who are U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents admitted to full-time graduate study in statistics by July 1 may apply for the American Statistical Association Gertrude M. Cox Scholarship.

Two recipients are selected each year, one early-stage and one advanced graduate student, each receiving $1,000 and a certificate.

Applications are due March 1 and require a personal essay of at least one double-spaced page covering program goals, career plans, and leadership or service experience. The scholarship was established in 1989 to encourage more women to enter statistically oriented professions.
